I just recently bought and installed a high bay light fixture in a large room in my house, and I think it is going to work well, but I am going to need to get some bulbs for it. I almost bought some fluorescent bulbs for it, which would not have been my first choice, but I did not initially realize you could get them in LED form. I am now shopping for a good price on a 200w led high bay light and I need to buy a few of them to put into this new fixture.
I am pretty excited to learn that you can also get this type of light bulb in a LED form, because it should save me a good bit of money on electricity over the long run, and that is especially the case if the bulbs are going to last for 20 years or something like that. But I don’t know if this type of LED bulb actually lasts as long as other types of LED bulb. It might be different, and have a shorter life. I just know that from the LED bulbs that I have bought in the past, they typically state that they have a life span of 20 years or more on the box, which is pretty fantastic in my opinion.
Even if they don’t last for quite so long, I am sure that they will last longer than if I were to put fluorescent bulbs into the fixture instead, and so that is a good thing, to be sure. I am still going to try to find the best prices for these bulbs online, but I am kind of worried about buying them online, since they are made of glass after all, and thus they are quite fragile.
